Essex Rebels Junior Basketball Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Julian Keeling as the new Under 18 Men’s Team Coach.
Julian succeeds Tom Sadler who took temporary charge of the team at the backend of last week. Tom will now revert to his primary role of Chief Executive Officer.
By way of background, Julian brings over 20 years of men’s coaching and NBL playing experience. The sole founder of the incredibly successful Brightlingsea Sledgehammers, Julian captained and coached the Sledgehammers from 2002 to 2008, the Colchester Hornets from 2007 to 2008, the Eastside Eagles from 2009 to 2010, and the Ipswich Tomcats from 2012 to 2013.
More importantly, however, Julian led (as captain and coach) the Colchester Hornets and Eastside Eagles to win the NBL’s Division III league in 2008 and 2010 respectively. Thus, the appointment of Julian Keeling is a tremendous outcome for the club and materially strengthens the capabilities of the core staff team.
The following information is disclosed pursuant to Sections 8.4 and 9.5 of the club’s constitution: Julian Keeling does not hold additional positions within the club, nor does he hold any directorships in any of the club’s current crop of service providers, and has not done so in the past 5 years.
Finally, and following the appointment, please find attached an updated copy of the club’s Organisational Chart for your records. Please delete any previous copies of the document.
For those new to the club (following the recent Under 14 Boys team trials), and on behalf of the club’s management team, I would like to extend to you a very warm welcome. We are delighted to have the opportunity to support your child’s development in basketball and in life. The club’s Membership Rules, About the Club, Training Schedule, and RTP documents have been attached to this update to facilitate a better understanding of our organisation. Thank you.
