Comprised of inspirational role models, our players are drawn from across the World, as well as young players from the Basketball England talent pathway.

Having secured back-to-back promotions in the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons, and finishing in the top half of the Basketball England National League Division 1 for multiple seasons, the Essex Rebels are now playing in the inaugural British Championship Basketball for the 2025/26 season.
Supported by one of the best university basketball programmes in the U.K. players combine representing the Essex Rebels with study at the University of Essex. Providing inspiration for young players within the Essex Rebels pathway, our men’s teams demonstrate how you can achieve your potential through hard work and dedication.

Rep your favourite Jersey at our JERSEY NIGHT!
Celebrate Jersey Night with an action-packed Essex Rebels basketball doubleheader. The Women’s team tip off against the Oaklands Wolves at 4:00 PM, followed by the Men’s match against the Newcastle Knights at 6:30 PM.
In addition to two exciting games, Jersey Night features:
- Rebels’ jersey giveaway for the best-dressed fan
- Performances from Ignite Cheer and more
- Crowd games and in-arena competitions
- Kids’ jersey-design contest, with the winning design receiving a Hoopin’N’Lootin jersey
