Comprised of inspirational role models, our players are drawn from across the World, as well as young players from the Basketball England talent pathway to compete professionally in the British Championship Basketball.

Having secured back-to-back promotions in the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons, and finishing in the top half of the Basketball England National League Division 1 for multiple seasons, the Essex Rebels are now playing in the inaugural British Championship Basketball for the 2025/26 season.
Supported by one of the best university basketball programmes in the U.K. players combine representing the Essex Rebels with study at the University of Essex. Providing inspiration for young players within the Essex Rebels pathway, our men’s teams demonstrate how you can achieve your potential through hard work and dedication.
