Womens Team

The women’s senior team entered the Basketball England National League for the first time in the 2015-16 season as the Essex Blades. The team won the National Cup final at the EIS in Sheffield in that first season in dramatic fashion, coming from behind to score the winning basket with the final score of the game. The team went on to win the Division One title in 2017-18, losing just one game in the whole season.

Following that successful season the team moved from the NBL to the women’s professional league, becoming the 12th team in the WBBL (Women’s British Basketball League).

We have brought in some great people and have made some good signings this off season that will certainly strengthen what we are doing, helping us to progress further and reach our objectives.
