Quinesha Lockett Brings EuroCup Experience to Essex
The Essex Rebels are thrilled to announce the signing of Quinesha Lockett for the 2025/26 Super League Basketball season.
Lockett arrives in Essex fresh off a championship-winning season with Rutronik Stars Keltern, where she helped the team capture the German Women’s Basketball Bundesliga (DBBL) title.
The Nebraska native made her mark in Germany’s top division, contributing 119 points across eight games while leading her team in steals, averaging over two per game. She also impressed on the European stage, featuring in EuroCup Women action where she averaged 14.9 points and 2.3 steals per game, once again leading her team in both categories as Keltern reached the round of 16.
Prior to her professional career, the 23-year-old spent five standout seasons with the University of Toledo Rockets in the NCAA Division I. Lockett’s achievements in Ohio were numerous: she was named Mid-American Conference (MAC) Player of the Year and Tournament MVP in 2022/23, became a four-time All-MAC honoree, and finished as the second all-time leading scorer in Toledo history with 2,423 career points. She also became the 31st player in program history to reach the 1,000-point milestone.
Lockett captained the Rockets in her final two seasons and was selected to the 2024 Women’s All-Star Game. Following her college career, she earned a training camp contract with the WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx before beginning her European journey with Keltern.
The Rebels will look to Lockett to bring her proven scoring ability, defensive intensity, and leadership to the Essex Sport Arena this season.
