School Outreach
We aim to enhance lives by making a positive impact on the wider community. Our community-focused activities engage children and young people and inspire them to achieve their full potential in sport and in life.

Supporting your school’s sporting journeys.
This year we are excited to offer an expanded range of activities to schools across Essex, featuring both Basketball and Volleyball. Our school packages bring professional athletes and experienced coaches directly into your school, creating memorable experiences that complement your PE curriculum and enhance your students’ development.
Whether it’s through our Rebels Roadshow assemblies or our comprehensive after-school coaching sessions, we’re here to support your school’s sporting journeys.
We would love the opportunity to partner with your school to empower the next generation to lead active, healthy and confident lives – both on and off the court.

School Coaching.
The Essex Rebels now offer basketball and volleyball school coaching. These sessions can be tailored to fit within PE lessons or as exciting after-school clubs.
We want to inspire the next generation to actively engage with our Rebels community, develop new skills, build confidence, and strive for greatness.

Rebels Roadshow.
The Rebels Roadshow is a great opportunity for children in the Colchester community to learn about the Essex Rebels, the life of a professional athlete and basketball happening in the area. This initiative gives children in our community an opportunity to meet professional athletes, who provide an inspiring, engaging, and fun experience to them. We focus on inclusivity and positive participation, encouraging all children to try their best and work together and just have fun.
Our Rebels Roadshows consist of a 20 minute assembly followed by a one-hour taster basketball or volleyball session. This package is delivered by our very own Essex Rebels athletes and can be catered to be suitable for any year group(s) in both primary and secondary schools.
In each assembly the players will talk about their path into elite basketball/volleyball, an average day in the life, and some information on the Essex Rebels. There will also be time for a Q&A at the end of the assembly so that students can engage with the Rebels Players.
“It was so engaging and they felt so inspired after the assembly” – Mr Elmer, Queen Boudica Primary
