This Saturday, 4 April, the Essex Rebels return to the Essex Sport Arena for their last double-header of the 2025/26 season featuring action from Super League Basketball and British Championship Basketball, as the club celebrates Community Day.
Essex Rebels vs London Lions | Super League Basketball | 4:00 pm Tip-off
The Essex Rebels return to the Essex Sport Arena this weekend to take on the London Lions in more Super League Basketball action.
In their last game, the Rebels suffered an 81–67 away defeat to the Oaklands Wolves, making this weekend’s clash vital as they look to strengthen their playoff position and secure home-court advantage as a top-four team.
The Rebels have been in great form at home, winning their last six at the Essex Sport Arena.
Having won their last match against Manchester Basketball, the visitors will be looking to hand the home side a second loss in a row. Eight points separate the two teams in the standings, with the Rebels holding a game in hand.
Player To Watch: Annika Shah
Averaging 21.1 points per game (the most out of any player for the London Lions), Shah is an offensive threat that the Rebels will have to look out for if they want to secure a win.
The Lions’ #2 is also a playmaker, averaging the most assists per game for her side with 4.8per game. With 4.7 rebounds a game and making 3.4 three-pointers a game on average, Shah has proven to be a versatile guard that can cause problems for any team in the league.
Essex Rebels Men vs London Cavaliers | British Championship Basketball | 6:30 pm Tip-off
The Rebels return to the Essex Sport Arena this weekend for their final home game of the 2025/26 season to take on the London Cavaliers in British Championship Basketball, hoping to finish their season on a high at home.
