Essex Rebels Unveil Festive Showdown: Christmas Special Returns on 13 December with Christmas Market, Toy Drive & Double-Header Basketball Action!
The Essex Rebels are gearing up for one of the biggest events of the year as the Christmas Special returns to the Essex Sport Arena on Saturday 13 December — bringing festive fun, community spirit, and two thrilling BCB games at the Essex Sport Arena.
The on-court action begins with the Rebels Women tipping off against the B. Braun Sheffield Hatters at 4:00pm, before the Rebels Men take on the Nottingham Hoods at 6:30 pm in British Championship Basketball (BCB) competition.
Christmas Market From 2:00pm
Before the games get underway, fans are invited to explore a lively Mini Christmas Market outside the arena from 2:00pm, featuring:
- Festive BBQ, hot dogs and snacks
- Mulled wine and hot chocolate
- Live carol singers
- Wivenhoe House Hotel pop-up
- And plenty more festive surprises!
Families can also capture the magic of the day with our 360 Cam experience, offering fun, sharable festive videos perfect for creating lasting memories.
Toy Drive in Partnership with Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity
The Essex Rebels are proud to partner with the Colchester & Ipswich Hospital Charity to run a Toy Drive supporting both children and older patients spending the holiday season in hospital.
Fans attending the Christmas Special are encouraged to bring along a gift to donate — or contribute online via the charity’s Amazon Wishlist, open until 12 December.
