Chrishon Briggs Signs Ahead of BCB Regular Season

The Essex Rebels are excited to announce the arrival of talented veteran Chrishon Briggs to the side in time for the opening of the 2025/2026 campaign. 

By representing the Rebels in the brand-new British Championship Basketball League, Briggs will be adding to his impressive list of countries he has played in across the world.  

Since graduating from California State Bakersfield, Briggs has enjoyed spells in Finland, Ireland, Vietnam and Indonesia. Last season saw Briggs playing in Columbia, where he represented Cimarrones.  

At College level, Briggs’ highlight came in the 2016/2017 season, where he helped CSUB reach the school’s first National Invitational Tournament, whilst also competing in the prestigious NCAA Division One. Briggs helped his side become a top 15 defence in the league in terms of steals, turnovers forced and field goal percentage defence.  

Heading into the new season, the Rebels will be looking to Briggs to bring his defensive talents to the court, as they hope to bring some silverware back to Essex in a successful season.
