

Rebels Community Day Schedule
The Essex Rebels will celebrate their incredible community support with a special Community Day Basketball doubleheader on Saturday, 4 April, at the Essex Sport Arena.
At the final home basketball doubleheader of the season, the club is inviting fans and families to join a full afternoon and evening of activities, youth sport sessions, and exciting basketball action as the Rebels thank the community for their incredible support throughout the year. Check out the schedule below!
Junior Sports Taster Sessions (1pm – 3pm)
The day will begin with junior sports taster sessions running from 1pm to 3pm, giving young participants the opportunity to try a variety of activities in a fun and welcoming environment.
Led by experienced coaches, these sessions give children the chance to try new activities, develop skills and get active before the Rebels take to the court later in the day.
Rebels Play Basketball (Arena): Ages 5–15
Four 30-minute sessions will run throughout the afternoon:
- 1 – 1:30pm (Ages 5–10)
- 1:30 – 2pm (Ages 11–15)
- 2 – 2:30pm (Ages 5–10)
- 2:30 – 3pm (Ages 11–15)
Capacity: 20 participants per session
Cricket (Sports Turf Pitch): Ages 5–15
- 1 – 1:30pm (Ages 11–15)
- 1:30 – 2pm (Ages 5–10)
- 2 – 2:30pm (Ages 11–15)
- 2:30 – 3pm (Ages 5–10)
Capacity: 20 participants per session
Climbing (Climbing Wall): Ages 8–15
Two one-hour sessions will be available:
- 1 – 2pm (Ages 8–11)
- 2 – 3pm (Ages 12–15)
Capacity: 10 participants per session
Tiny Champs Multisport (Activity Studio 2): Ages 18 months – 4 years
- Two 30-minute structured sessions will run during the afternoon, followed by opportunities for free play.
Capacity: 10 participants per session
Pre-game Fanzone: 2pm – 4pm
The celebrations continue from 2pm as the Rebels Community Fanzone comes to life outside the Essex Sport Arena, giving fans the perfect chance to soak up the atmosphere before tip-off.
Supporters can explore a lively mix of local food vendors, independent businesses and family-friendly activities, creating a festival feel as the arena prepares for an evening of basketball.
Fans can look forward to:

- Local bakery treats and food vendors
- Ice cream truck
- Yard games and family activities
- Easter egg hunt
- Music and prizes
- Face painting
- Poster making
- Bracelet making
The fanzone will bring together fans, families and local businesses, celebrating the community that supports the Essex Rebels while building excitement ahead of the evening’s doubleheader.
Essex Rebels Basketball Doubleheader
Attention will then turn to the court for an exciting Rebels doubleheader. At 4pm, the Rebels women take on the London Lions in the Super League Basketball. Following, the Rebels men will face the London Cavaliers at 6:30pm in the British Championship Basketball in what will be their final home game of the season.
Celebrating the Rebels Community
The Community Day is an opportunity for the club to thank fans for their incredible support throughout the season while celebrating the strong connection between the team and its local community.
The event is delivered in partnership with Clubb Creative, a local graphic design agency dedicated to transforming businesses into impactful, thriving brands.
With youth activities, family entertainment and a packed evening of basketball, the Rebels Community Day promises to be a memorable way to close out the home schedule.
