Rebels Sign Point Guard Paige Meyer
Everyone at the Essex Rebels is excited to welcome exciting point guard Paige Meyer to the roster ahead of the upcoming 2025/2026 campaign.
Hailing from Albany in Minnesota, Meyer previously played for the South Dakota Jackrabbits from 2021 until 2025 – playing an important role within South Dakota State University’s athletic program.
With 493 assists, Meyer ranks first in the SDSU’s Division 1 history, with 179 of those coming as a senior in the 2024-2025 campaign.
With 1417 career points, Meyer ranks 16th overall in program history, as well as being only the 42nd member of the SDSU 1000-point club.
Meyer also boasts a .433 career 3-point percentage, which also ranks as first in the program’s history.
But Meyer’s strengths are not just playmaking and sharpshooting skills, as she was also the captain of her side in both the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 campaigns. With a 115-25 career record, coupled with 103 career starts in 116 games played, the Rebels will be looking for Meyer to bring in both her leadership and playmaking skills on the court.
Other accomplishments include being named four times in the All-Summit League selections (twice in the first team and twice in the second), being only the second player to do so in program history.
Speaking to us ahead of her move to Essex, Paige Meyer said:
“I am grateful for the opportunity to continue playing the game I love. I am looking forward to learning and growing this upcoming season. More than anything, I am excited to join a new group of teammates and coaches, and start building relationships and putting in the work as a team.”
