STOP PRESS! Essex Rebels announce the signing of British guard Megan Haines

Haines joins the Rebels off of a brief stint as a freshman with the University of Charleston’s Golden Eagles, prior to this Haines was the lead guard of the City of London Academy where she dominated the highlight reels each week in the WEABL guiding COLA to being crowned champions in her final year in the WEABL. A 5”8 guard Haines was a member of the GB U18’s team that competed in the FIBA European championship back in 2017.
“We very excited about Megan coming in, she will be joining some of our other talented young British undergrads that will make up a cohort of players that we believe will help shape the future of our women’s Rebels program” says head Coach Tom Sadler.
