Tom Child

Tom will be coming back to Essex for his 4th year with the University of Essex. The guard has been a key part of Essex’s success over the last few seasons.

Last season Tom captained the side to promotion. 

He averaged 13 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3 assists per game whilst shooting 39.4% from 3-point range. Tom also had an impressive field goal percentage of 38.3.

Background:

 Tom finished his college career at Barking Abbey where he helped the side to win 2 finals championships. He also has Division 1 experience playing for Essex Leopards in 2018/19 seasons. 

Personal:

Tom graduated from Essex with a 1st class degree in sports science. He now is completing his masters degree in business marketing and management at Essex.
