Rebels Strengthen Roster with Addition of British Guard Will White
The Essex Rebels are excited to announce the arrival of Will White to the roster for the upcoming 2025/26 British Championship Basketball season.
A gifted and versatile player, White is capable playing at both the shooting guard and small forward position. Standing at 6’5, the Rebels will be hoping he can bring both technical ability and physical prowess to the court.
White enjoyed a successful three-year spell with the Marjon Patriots, joining Plymouth Marjon University’s basketball programme in 2022 as part of the Plymouth BBL performance pathway.
Last season saw White named as Marjon’s Most Valuable Player, with the highlight of his campaign coming against the Brighton Bears. White dropped forty-four points on the day, becoming the top scorer in a single game in Marjon Patriots history.
This followed White being named as Plymouth Marjon University’s Sportsman of the Year for 2023, for his contributions to their BUCS Basketball teams.
Internationally, White was selected to represent Great Britain at U23 level this summer in their 3×3 squad, highlighting his potential to progress within British Basketball.
Speaking ahead of his arrival, White is raring to go:
“I’m excited about this upcoming season and to being able to contribute to a great team, organisation and community whilst building towards a successful season.”
When asked about White’s arrival, Head Coach Joe Hart said:
“Really happy to have Will on board. I am excited to see how he responds to the challenge of playing in the BCB.”
