Lucrezia is the tallest of Essex players and has just graduated from UMBC majoring in Political Science and French.

Senior Year (2019-20):

  • Appeared in all 28 games, making 24 starts.
  • Averaged 4.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.
  • Shot 47.7 percent from the field and 68.3 percent from the free throw line.
  • Scored a season-high 11 points at UAlbany on Jan. 28, going 4-8 from the floor.
  • Pulled down a season-best 10 rebounds against UMass Lowell on Feb. 8.
  • One of two female recipients of the Matt Skalsky Outstanding Student-Athlete at the 2020 Grittys.


  • Nominated as NCAA Women of the Year 2020.
  • Was a member of the 2016 FIBA U20 Women’s European Championship – Division A team for Italy.
  • Scored 33 points in the A2 Championship against Ancona Basket Girls.
  • Won the Italian Title in March 2016 against Reyer Venezia, where the team battled back from down 16 in the beginning of the 4th quarter.
  • Was a member of the San Raffaele Basket team from 2010-2014.
  • Also a member of the 2012-13 College Italia team.
  • Spent two years in Battipaglia and was the U20 Italian Champions.


  • Daughter of Flavio Costa and Francesca Liburdi.
  • Has one brother, Riccardo.
  • Began playing basketball when she was 11.
  • Doing a master’s degree in Conflict Resolution (Ma) at Essex.
